BILL EVANS At The Montreux Jazz Festival (2023 Analogue Productions limited edition 9-track stereo LP pressed on 180-gram vinyl at 33RPM by QRP, mastered from the original tapes by Bernie Grundman. Recorded June 15, 1968 at the Casino de Montreux, Switzerland this album occupies a unique place in the Bill Evans discography. It's the only album to document drummer Jack deJohnette's too-short stay in the trio. The trio's performance on this album won them the 1969 Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group. High quality tip-on style picture sleeve with original cover artwork, hype sticker & factory sealed inside its perforated loose bag. Recommended)

Tracklisting: By the time this set was recorded, live in Montreux on June 15, 1968, Eddie Gomez and Evans had been playing together for two years. Gomez provided a different brand of virtuosity to that offered by Scott LaFaro in Evans's classic trio of five years earlier but he was clearly the best bass player Evans had worked with since LaFaro's tragic death. The groove between the two was deep and comfortable, so comfortable that in this set, Evans did something he hadn't done before, at least on a recording: he showcased Gomez for an entire piece, the almost 7-minute-long "Embraceable You." As the liner notes by Gene Lees reveal, Evan's performance at the renowned jazz festival in the nightclub of the Montreux Casino, one of the most fashionable resorts in Switzerland, was one of his best. He and Gomez played with more exuberance, more happiness and more drive. Evans' brooding, introspective musical side has been represented well on records before; the bright side has been too-little heard, but it's here in this album. At the end of each number the audience exploded in applause so stormy and extended that it had to be heavily edited for the album. Enjoy this sparkling Bill Evans piano performance, made sweeter by the expert mastering by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tape. For this edition only the best vinyl pressing would do — a 180-gram super-silent luxurious-sounding platter from Quality Record Pressings, makers of the world's finest-sounding LPs. First-rate and top-notch, this album will make a superb addition to your record collection. Side 1 One For Helen A Sleeping Bee Mother Of Earl Nardis Side 2 I Love You Porgy The Touch Of Your Lips Embraceable You Someday My Prince Will Come Walkin’ Up
THE CURE Greatest Hits (2017 UK/EU limited edition 18-track double album 2-LP remastered by Robert Smith and pressed on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl, previously released only on CD in 2001. This fantastic compilation includes Boys Don'tCry, A Forest, Let's Go To Bed, The Lovecats, Friday I'm In Love, and so much more. Gatefold picture sleeve, brand new & factory sealed with download card. Recommended)

Tracklisting: Remastered by Robert Smith Featuring their best known tracks including; "Love Song", "Friday I'm In Love", "Never Enough", "Mint Car" and many more. Out of all the bands that emerged in the immediate aftermath of punk rock in the late '70s, few were as enduring and popular as the Cure. Led through numerous incarnations by guitarist/vocalist Robert Smith (born April 21, 1959), the band became notorious for its slow, gloomy dirges and Smith's ghoulish appearance, a public image that often hid the diversity of the Cure's music. At the outset, the Cure played jagged, edgy pop songs before slowly evolving into a more textured outfit. As one of the bands that laid the seeds for goth rock, the group created towering layers of guitars and synthesizers, but by the time goth caught on in the mid-'80s, the Cure had moved away from the genre. By the end of the '80s, the band had crossed over into the mainstream not only in its native England, but also in the United States and in various parts of Europe. The Cure remained a popular concert draw and reliable record-seller throughout the '90s, and their influence could be heard clearly on scores of new bands during the new millennium, including many that had little to do with Goth. Side A 1. Boys Don't Cry 2. A Forest 3. Let's Go To Bed 4. The Walk 5. The Lovecats Side B 1. Inbetween Days 2. Close To Me 3. Why Can't I Be You? 4. Just Like Heaven 5. Lullaby Side C 1. Lovesong 2. Never Enough 3. High 4. Friday I'm In Love Side D 1. Mint Car 2. Wrong Number 3. Cut Here 4. Just Say Yes
