A FEW OF THE MOST RECENT ITEMS WE WANT...

THE CRAMPS Bikini Girls With Machine Guns (1990 UK 3-track promotional 12" single also featuring Jackyard Backoff and Her Love Rubbed Off. Housed in a limited numbered stickered sleeve. Due to the nature of white sleeve the sleeve does show some patches of foxing with the vinyl appearing barley played. A wonderful copy! 12ENVDJ-17)

This copy remains factory sealed from new in the original hype-stickered shrink & is therefore still mint & unplayed)

Tracklisting: Shockwave One Of Us Once Now That I've Found You Halo Why Me? Why Not. Be Still Alright Now Meadow The River Gone
CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & MAGIC BAND Trout Mask Replica (Rare 1969 UK first issue 28-track Stereo double LP, the Captain's Dadaist masterpiece, as produced by Frank Zappa & released on Frank's Straight label, gatefold picture sleeve with the original recommended retail price sticker attached. Now regarded as the pinnacle of Beefheart's early achievements, it's hard to imagine the impact this album must have had on first release! STS1053)
Please see more info below for details on condition...

Tracklisting: More Information This legendary album is far from 'easy listening' but is none the less an essential 'must have' in any collection. Mr Van Vliet & his astonishing band took the conventional ideas about music & composition & turned them completely on their heads to create an album which still, to this day, stands as one of the benchmark recordings in history. This copy has the ORIGINAL Straight catalogue numbers on both sleeve & labels [STS1053], meaning that it was the first release in 1969 before changing to the more common Reprise pressing. Unlike the US pressing, the sides are labelled [& play] in order, rather than the 1/4, 2/3 arrangement on the US vinyl. Details (From liner Notes) :- ZOOT HORN ROLLO: glass finger guitar, flute ANTENNAE JIMMY SEMENS: steel-appendage guitar CAPTAIN BEEFHEART: bass clarinet, tenor sax, soprano sax, vocal THE MASCARA SNAKE: bass clarinet & vocal ROCKETTE MORTON: bass & narration DRUMBO: drums [not listed on original liner, only CD reissue] CAPTAIN BEEFHEART plays tenor & soprano sax simultaneously on Ant Man Bee, simran horn & musette on Neon Meate Dream; ANTENNAE JIMMY SEMENS sing lead vocal on Pena & plays flesh horn on Ella Guru; special guest artist DOUG MOON plays guitar on China Pig; Produced by FRANK ZAPPA Arranged by DON VAN VLIET Engineered by Dick Kunc Album design: Cal Schenkel Photography: Ed Caraeff/Cal Schenkel Special electronic modifications on Captain Beefheart's band equipment by Dick Kunc Most recent in a long series of contract negotiations leading to an actual signing: Neil C. Reshen All songs written by Captain Beefheart © 1969 Words & music copyrighted for the world by Beefheart Music Co. BMI Condition The gatefold picture sleeve shows moderate shelfwear leaving it VG+. The vinyl remains in fantastic condition with very little sign of play and you seldom see vinyl this good on this album. The first UK release didn't sell too well at the time, so finding one at all is an achievement and this is far better than most. You either love or hate Trout Mask, there is no inbetween. This is a highly recommended UK original for those that do!
