FRANK ZAPPA The Old Masters Box Two (1986 US limited edition NINE LP box set, available only by Mail Order from Barfko Swill, including Uncle Meat, Hot Rats, Burnt Weeny Sandwich, Weasels Ripped My Flesh, Chunga's Revenge, Fillmore East, June 1971 and Just Another Band From L.A, with a Mystery Disc of previously unreleased material. Each album comes in a high quality reproduction of the original LP artwork with inserts, complete with Barfko Swill registration card & Merchandising insert, all housed in a 12" square, 2" deep embossed box with brushed aluminium effect BPR-8888)

This was the second Old Masters box released by Frank, with each album receiving a complete digital overhaul.
Being the perfectionist he was, Frank could not re-visit Vault tapes without giving them the benefit of some modernisation, be it EQ, mixing or restoring parts that were previously
cut out. This was just Frank being Frank.

Notes:
UM used the original stereo mixes.
HR, unlike the CD, also appears to use the original stereo mixes.
BWS uses the original stereo mix with some added reverb.
WRMF also appears to use the original stereo mixes.
CR uses the original stereo mix with some added reverb.
FE uses the original stereo mix with some added reverb & includes Willie The Pimp Pt. 2.
JABFLA uses the original stereo mix with some EQ.
The Mystery Disc contains all previously [officially] unreleased recording with a side recorded live at the Festival Hall in 1968.
UM comes with original booklet. BWS includes a fold out 'To Inform You' photo leaflet. JABFL includes a WB 'Circular' fold out photo booklet.

Condition:
Not a lot to say here. The sleeves remain near 'as new' and all vinyl is immaculate, so let's move on.
The box itself shows very little wear at all with just a little scuffing at the corners and is individually numbered on the back. This copy is ZM2-00268.
